Mr. David C. Ristaino serves as Office Managing Partner at Akerman LLP. Mr. Ristaino works with public and private companies on a wide range of corporate and securities issues. He has significant experience in a wide variety of complex legal transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, private equity, joint ventures, equity offerings, and general corporate matters. Mr. Ristaino has represented private equity funds, strategic acquirors and sellers, and entrepreneurs while working on transactions in a broad range of industries, including financial institutions, healthcare, business services, manufacturing, and consumer services. He was employed with Edwards & Angell, Boston, Massachusetts from 1988 to 1997 and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Washington, D.C. from 1980 to 1985. Mr. Ristaino is a Member of American Bar Association, Florida Bar Association, Rhode Island Bar Association and Massachusetts Bar Association. He is a Member of Board of Directors at Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Broward County, Florida and a Member of Board of Directors at The Russell Life Skills and Reading Foundation. Mr. Ristaino is Past member of Board of Directors at Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida, Inc. and Past member of Board of Directors at Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Ristaino received his J. D. from University of Notre Dame Law School in 1988 and B.S. from Stonehill College in 1980.
