David E. Connor is an associate in Morgan Lewis's Intellectual Property Practice. Mr. Connor's practice is focused on supporting the business goals of clients by preserving, protecting, and expanding their intellectual property rights. He has provided opinions on the validity, noninfringement, infringement, or invalidity of various U.S. patents. Mr. Connor also works directly with inventors to determine technical subject matter, scope of protection, and to develop a patent protection strategy for his clients. His areas of discipline include various technologies, such as semiconductors, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, laser copiers, ink jet copiers, GPS systems, DVD players, LCD devices, headlights, medical devices, beauty products, computer software, vehicle braking systems, and combustion engine system components.
Previously, Mr. Connor worked as an engineer providing security design and installation for USAF Weapon Storage Areas and was lead fire protection engineer for the U.S. Dept. of State, Embassy Task Group. Mr. Connor has also worked on the upgrade of various production and utility operations at the U.S. Dept. of Energy's Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Mr. Connor's experience includes living abroad where he assisted with the engineering efforts in the construction of irradiated nuclear fuel transport flasks.
