David G. Peinsipp is a partner in the Cooley Business department. He joined the Firm in 2001 and is resident in the San Francisco office.

David has a general business and corporate law practice, representing both emerging and public companies in a variety of matters, including formation and financing activities, SEC reporting and compliance, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. He also represents investment banks, venture capitalists and financial institutions in a variety of equity, debt and equity-linked transactions, including public offerings, private placements, PIPES, and mergers and acquisitions. Since 2011, David has been involved in over 40 IPOs or other offerings of debt or equity, including IPOs for Zynga, Yelp, Linkedin, Zendesk, FireEye, Aerohive and Ambarella.

In 2014, David was named on the Daily Journal‘s "20 Under 40" list, which honors the top young professionals in California.

David received a JD from New York University School of Law in 2001 and a BS degree in Psychology from University of Florida in 1998.

David is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of San Francisco.
