David Jaroslaw

Mr. Jaroslaw is a shareholder in Greenspoon Marder’s Litigation practice group. He has litigated a broad spectrum of complex civil and criminal matters in both federal and state courts, at the pre-trial, trial, and appellate level. Mr. Jaroslaw has provided product liability advice and litigated on behalf of manufacturers of products, including tobacco and e-cigarettes, in the United States, Europe, and Asia. He has particular expertise in the handling of complex issues of science, medicine, and technology, and in the presentation of expert evidence to courts, clients, and others. He has lectured on the presentation of expert evidence, and is the author of the article “The Expert Witness as Teacher.” He has also represented clients in the ride-sharing industry with regard to issues under the Communications Decency Act, and in the textile industry with regard to successor liability and product liability issues.

From 1993 through 1998, he prosecuted organized crime and international money laundering for the Rackets Bureau of the New York County District Attorney’s Office and for the New York State Organized Crime Task Force (where he was also cross-designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney). Mr. Jaroslaw investigated and prosecuted a money laundering ring involving Colombian drug sellers, major import/export companies and U.S. investment banks, and led the prosecution of the leadership of the plumbers’ union. From 1988 through 1993, he was associated with Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, where he handled securities, commercial fraud, and employment discrimination matters.

Mr. Jaroslaw is the incoming President and member of the Board of Trustees of the Brooklyn Heights Synagogue and is a member of the Board of Advisers of the URJ Eisner and Crane Lake Camps. He is a singer, musician, and an avid cyclist and runner.

Mr. Jaroslaw was admitted to practice in New York in 1989. Mr. Jaroslaw obtained his law degree from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
