David‘s nationwide civil appellate and Texas trial-court practices are the embodiment of his boyhood dreams. Indeed, even as a precocious 10-year-old, David knew his destiny lay in courts of law representing his clients‘ interest and protecting their rights—a fact he happily shared with anyone who would listen.

After graduating from law school with honors, David had the privilege of being a law clerk—first for the Honorable Jan P. Patterson at the Texas Court of Appeals Third District (Austin), then for the Honorable Wallace B. Jefferson at the Supreme Court of Texas. Following his clerkships, David went to work with, and be mentored by, a prominent Texas litigator and his hand-picked team of highly skilled trial and appellate practitioners. Before to starting his own firm, David was a partner in the Dallas office of a well-known Texas law firm.

In the nearly fifteen years since entering private practice, David‘s come into his own both as an accomplished appellate advocate and as an adept trial attorney. Whether retained as trial counsel, appellate counsel, or both, David‘s developed and demonstrated an aptitude for among other things: jury charges, error preservation, appellate briefs, and mandamus petitions. David‘s also experienced significant success litigating commercial disputes, constitutional claims, statutorily created causes of action, and child custody disputes.

David has been privileged to advocate his clients‘ claims and defend their rights in state and federal court at every level—from Texas Justice Court to the United States Supreme Court. Because his clients are as varied as their cases, David offers a range of fee structures and lets his clients choose the one which best suit their particular circumstances.
