David L. Ridenour

David Ridenour represents financial institutions acting as issuers, borrowers, underwriters and purchasers in a wide range of asset-based and asset-backed securities transactions. His practice focuses primarily on publicly registered and privately negotiated unsecured consumer credit transactions, and he has experience representing nearly all of the major consumer credit card securitization platforms in numerous issuances worth in excess of $40 billion. He also advises on other asset classes, such as solar and energy efficiency loans, timeshare receivables, automobile loans and leases, equipment loans and leases, mortgage-backed securities, trade receivables and certain esoteric assets.

David counsels clients in connection with new financial industry regulations, including those promulgated under the Dodd-Frank Act and Regulation AB II, and he plays an active role in drafting comment letters to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

A member of the Virginia Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar Association, David also co-chairs the Young Lawyers Alliance of the Legal Counsel for the Elderly.

David received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A. from the University of Nebraska, magna cum laude. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
