David R. Shevitz represents public and private companies in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions across the country. Dave has practiced at Katten for more than 30 years. He emphasizes a business-minded approach in legal matters and has closed more than 700 transactions for companies in a wide variety of industries.

Public companies seek his counsel in connection with initial public offerings, subsequent financing activities, corporate governance and compensation matters. He also manages the legal aspects of tender offers, financing and restructuring. Dave works on transactions ranging from small emerging companies valued at tens of millions of dollars to upper middle market companies with sales of $350 million or more. He is experienced in contract negotiation, corporate planning, capital formation and securities law matters.
