David Skaar's practice focuses on litigation, with an emphasis on complex commercial litigation and products liability. He also has counseling and litigation experience in a wide range of individual and class actions involving construction and real estate, antitrust, employment matters, consumer fraud claims, and insurance coverage disputes. David has successfully represented corporate clients in state and federal court in all aspects of litigation, including depositions and discovery (including e-discovery), law and motion practice, settlement negotiations, mediation, and trial preparation.
David maintains an active pro bono practice representing children in immigration proceedings and supporting the litigation efforts of various civil rights organizations.
While in law school, David was a summer associate at the Los Angeles office of Hogan & Hartson LLP, now Hogan Lovells. He also worked as a law clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, and served on the Loyola Law School International and Comparative Law Review. Prior to law school, David was an engineering and loss prevention consultant for a global insurance company.
