David advises companies and individuals regarding intellectual property, technology law, and commercial issues. David represents clients in both litigation and transactional matters.
David studied engineering and worked in Silicon Valley before attending law school. In law school, David received Jurisprudence Awards as the top student in Property, Income Tax, and Financial Analysis. He was elected to the Order of the Coif upon graduation from law school, which recognizes students in the top 10% of the class.
In his legal career, David has worked on matters involving wireless communications (cellular, Wi-Fi, and RFID), microprocessors, cloud software, operating systems, security and encryption systems, medical devices, and many other technologies.
David has litigated cases in courts across the United States and before the International Trade Commission. He also has assisted with litigation in Germany, the Netherlands, and South Korea. David has been a member of several trial teams.
David has advised clients regarding a variety of commercial transactions, including venture financing, patent licensing, and purchase and supply agreements.
David is a member of the Pro Bono Advisory Council of Asian Americans Advancing Justice and a mentor in the First Generation Professionals mentoring program at Berkeley’s law school.
