Deana L. Cairo

Deana Cairo has over 15 years of experience trying antitrust cases in federal and state courts and representing clients in civil and criminal antitrust investigations before the DOJ, FTC, and state attorneys general. She devotes a significant portion of her practice to litigating complex antitrust matters, including class actions and multi-district litigation. She also regularly counsels clients on antitrust issues, develops compliance programs, and advises on complex e-discovery and information governance issues.

Deana has significant experience advising pharmaceutical and medical device companies on the structuring of supply and distribution agreements and antitrust considerations surrounding patent disputes, as well as representing provider groups and healthcare facilities before governmental agencies on a variety of competition matters. She has also counseled healthcare providers on structuring fee-sharing and other collaborative arrangements under the Affordable Care Act.

Deana also brings her expertise in litigation and the life sciences to clients in pharmaceutical product liability cases, healthcare litigation, and other complex commercial disputes.

Outside of work, Deana enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and hiking in the Rocky Mountains. She is a volunteer emergency medical technician for a fire department, and that, along with her legal practice, provides for a pretty exciting life.
