Deborah S. Weiser

Deborah Weiser is of counsel in the Employment Law practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Ms. Weiser’s practice includes the representation of employers in all aspects of employment law, with significant emphasis in wage and hour law. She has defended a number of state and federal class and collective actions, and has defeated class certification and obtained summary judgment in such cases.

Ms. Weiser provides advice and training on wage and hour issues for clients in many industries, including financial services, internet service providers, telecommunications, insurance, entertainment, aerospace, retail, education, and restaurants and hospitality. She has conducted numerous large-scale overtime exemption audits, and other related wage and hour pay practices audits, advised and managed large-scale projects to restructure client compensation practices, including the reclassification of thousands of employees to non-exempt status.
