Dorit joined Reed Smith in fall 2003. She is a member of the firm's Litigation Group in the Los Angeles office and is currently focusing on commercial litigation. She worked as a summer associate at Crosby, Heafey, Roach & May in 2002 before the firm combined with Reed Smith in 2003.

In law school, Dorit was involved with the Berkeley Technology and Law Journal. She was also a moot court advisor and a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Between her first and second year of law school, Dorit was a research assistant for the UCLA Online Institute for Cyberspace Law and Policy.

During the summers while she was earning her B.A., Dorit held various positions in the entertainment industry. She interned for the television shows “Access Hollywood” (1997) and “Divorce Court” (1999), and in the film industry for Kopelson Entertainment (1998). While at “Access Hollywood,” she created the slogan “Life, Cameras, Access!”, which was incorporated into the show’s fall promotion campaign.
