Dorothy Anne Presley Jarrell

Dorothy Anne Presley Jarrell's practice involves representation of businesses, as both plaintiffs and defendants, in complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts, primarily in the areas of breach of contract, insurance recovery, class actions, employment, and defamation matters.

Ms. Jarrell has trial experience as both lead attorney in bench trials and second chair in jury trials. In addition, she has acted as lead counsel in numerous mediations and settlement negotiations.

Ms. Jarrell’s experience includes the successful representation of businesses in bet-the-company litigation in which she has defended key experts and executives. Ms. Jarrell’s diverse complex-litigation practice includes her successful representation of more than 1,600 plaintiffs in a chemical-poisoning case against Fortune 500 companies, alleging failure to warn and an industry-wide conspiracy extending over several decades to conceal and misrepresent the hazards of their products. In addition, she has spear-headed fraud investigations, including one in which she worked with the authorities in the investigation of an insurance agent, which led to agent’s suspension and criminal prosecution.
