Douglas Brayley is an associate practicing in the labor and employment department. Doug advises employers on a wide range of labor- and employment-related matters, including disputes of all kinds, compliance with state and federal employment and labor laws, and corporate transactions. In such matters, he often interviews witnesses, provides risk assessments, drafts agreements, and gives advice regarding personnel policies and legal compliance. Doug’s corporate transactional practice involves advising clients regarding labor- and employment-related issues uncovered in deal diligence, transition planning, and the drafting of employment agreements and restrictive covenants.

He has examined witnesses in federal district court and in arbitration and has taken or defended more than a dozen depositions. He has written numerous briefs and motions to administrative agencies, arbitrators, and state and federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court.

Doug also maintains a robust pro bono practice. His recent matters include helping a Turkish father to regain custody of his children after they were taken from him in a high-profile international abduction, as well as securing asylum status for a Cameroonian woman who had been persecuted for her religion.
