Edgar Martinez is a counsel in O’Melveny’s Newport Beach office and a member of the Financial Services Practice. He represents clients in a variety of complex litigation matters, including consumer class actions involving claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Truth in Lending Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, and the consumer protection statutes of numerous states, including California Business & Professions Code Section 17200 and the Consumer Legal Remedies Act. He also advises clients regarding regulatory and compliance matters involving mortgage servicing and foreclosure practices. Before joining O’Melveny, Edgar worked as a business consultant advising clients regarding their development and implementation of performance assessment tools.
