Edward Chang represents institutional clients in all aspects of complex commercial litigation, in both trial and appellate courts, in a wide array of industries. He has represented numerous Fortune companies including Darden, Experian, IBM, Land O'Lakes, Lennar, Texas Instruments, Verizon, and Wells Fargo in complicated business disputes and consumer class actions.

Significant matters as lead associate or primary attorney include representation of Lennar in various consumer class actions, preemptively defeating class certification in judicial reference in multiple cases (Sweidan v. Lennar; Verdejo v. Lennar, JAMS 2013); Yard House in a high-stakes breach of contract case, prevailing on an issue of first impression before the California Court of Appeal (Battaglia Enterprises v. Yard House USA, 215 Cal. App. 4th 309 (2013)); Applied Medical in a wage-and-hour class action, successfully compelling individual non-class arbitration despite the absence of a class waiver (Tran v. AMRC, No. 30-2011-00477108-CU-OE-CXC, O.C.S.C.); Intelius in a consumer class action, successfully moving to dismiss all deceptive advertising claims (Kurtz v. Intelius, 2012 WL 4048645); Applied Medical in a complicated international business dispute, obtaining summary judgment and a favorable Ninth Circuit opinion granting Applied an antisuit injunction and awarding substantial fees (AMDC v. Surgical Co., 587 F.3d 909 (2009)); Verizon in a consumer class action, obtaining a published opinion limiting the scope of UCL standing (Peterson v. Cellco, 164 Cal. App. 4th 1583 (2008)); Intelius in other class actions, obtaining complete dismissals at the pleading stage; and Experian, obtaining summary judgment for Experian in numerous cases.
