In the insurance field, where he has over three decades of experience, Eliot has counseled clients and litigated cases involving a broad spectrum of issues. He has represented the interests of insurers, insurance brokers, and policyholders. His experience has included the handling of primary and excess insurance, reinsurance and bad faith matters involving general liability, property, directors and officers, professional liability, employment practices and other types of coverage. It has also included US, London, Canadian and Bermuda insurance market practices and professional liability issues at the retail, wholesale/surplus lines and reinsurance levels. Eliot has represented clients in both protecting against unfair competition and in hiring employees from competitors.
