Emily Dempsey

is a partner in the Intellectual Property Department of the Chicago office. Emily has extensive experience litigating and arbitrating intellectual property and complex commercial matters. She has won, or favorably resolved, trademark, copyright, trade secret, patent, and unfair competition claims in federal courts and at the United States International Trade Commission.

Emily's practice also includes counseling clients with respect to advertising and promotions, emerging media, cyberlaw, and corporate social media activities. She also represents industry-leading clients in proceedings before the National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureau and assists clients with Federal Trade Commission inquiries.
