Emily J. Sweitzer

Emily Sweitzer

is a senior associate in King & Spalding’s Capital Transactions and Real Estate Practice Group. Ms. Sweitzer represents developers and investors in their core real estate transactions—acquisitions, dispositions, development, financings and structuring—with an emphasis on efficient process. She also advises developers and institutional investors in forming and negotiating strategic joint ventures to acquire, develop and operate real estate. Ms. Sweitzer’s practice is nationwide and extends across product types, including multi-family, office, retail, industrial, senior housing and parking.

In addition to her transactional work, Ms. Sweitzer works with clients to develop transactional processes and forms to maximize efficiency and outcome for her clients. Ms. Sweitzer also serves as pro bono real estate counsel to KIPP Metro Atlanta Collaborative, Inc.Ms. Sweitzer received a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Carleton College in 2002 and received her law degree from Northwestern University in 2005. During law school, Ms. Sweitzer was active in Northwestern University’s Bluhm Legal Clinic.

Represented various developers in construction financings generating over $450 million of loan proceeds
