Emily has significant experience in the areas of litigation, municipal law, and family law. In her family law practice, she handles divorce, parenting time, support, paternity, and a variety of other post-judgment issues.

Emily’s litigation experience includes business disputes, breach of contract, and employment litigation. Within her employment practice, she represents employers, assisting them with a diverse array of issues, including employee handbooks and policies, contested unemployment hearings, and defending against discrimination and other wrongful termination claims, and providing support for labor related issues.

Emily also has extensive experience with municipal ordinance enforcement and has successfully argued a wide range of motion practice, ranging from evidentiary hearings to jury trials and everything in between. Emily has assisted municipalities with a variety of issues, including but not limited to, ordinance drafting, contract negotiations, zoning, employment related issues, and Freedom of Information Act requests. Emily also practices at the appellate level, at both the circuit court and the Court of Appeals levels. She has worked successfully to uphold the ordinances of local municipalities against constitutional and evidentiary challenges and to successfully defend clients against various appeals in the Court of Appeals.

Emily offers an aggressive, yet practical, approach which allows her to bring the strongest case for her clients. Her strong organizational skills are reflected in her timeliness in responding to the needs of her clients, as well as her preparedness and articulate manner in court. Taking on new responsibilities and providing confidence to her clients has allowed her to substantially grow her practice in a short time.
