Eric Sibbitt is a partner in O’Melveny's San Francisco office and a member of the Capital Markets Practice.

He has particular expertise in structuring and executing complex capital raising transactions including initial public offerings, NYSE and NASDAQ listings, registered follow-on offerings, Rule 144A and Regulation S global offerings, PIPEs, equity lines of credit, equity forward transactions, private placements, privatizations, issuer tender offers, and venture financings.

Eric’s experience includes successfully representing issuers in commenting on proposed SEC rulemaking, securing SEC no-action relief, and terminating NASDAQ delisting proceedings .Eric is also an experienced advisor on cross-border public and private company mergers, acquisitions, tender offers, distressed M&A and joint ventures.

His industry experience spans the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, software, financial services, real estate, Internet, media, airline, governmental, semiconductor, and automotive and electronics manufacturing sectors. Eric practiced in New York and Tokyo with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP prior to joining O'Melveny's San Francisco office, and speaks and reads Japanese fluently. Eric is also a member of the Innovation Advisory Council of the Japan Society of Northern California, a director of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Northern California, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Law at Hastings College of the Law.
