Eric Cheng is an associate in the Emerging Companies practice group and a member of Cooley's Business department. He joined the firm in 2014 and is a resident in the San Francisco office.

Mr. Cheng practices general securities and corporate law with a focus on representing emerging and public companies, venture capital funds, and investment banks. He also advises both private and public companies in merger and acquisition transactions, public offerings, and SEC filings.

Mr. Cheng earned his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2012. While in law school, he served as an Articles Editor on the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and an Executive Editor on the East Asia Law Review. He also served on the board of the Asian-Pacific American Law Students Association as the inaugural Speaker Chair. Mr. Cheng was also a summer intern at the New York City Law Department, Appeals Division and at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office. In 2008, he received his degrees from the University of California, Berkeley with High Honors.

Mr. Cheng is admitted to practice in California and New York.
