Fahad A. Habib

Fahad Habib's practice includes international arbitration and litigation, anti-corruption and anti-bribery counseling and defense, and international trade compliance.

Fahad has arbitrated matters under the ICC, ICSID, and UNCITRAL rules, and has also worked on the global enforcement of arbitral awards. He has litigated claims under the Anti-Terrorism Act, the Alien Tort Statute, and the Torture Victim Protection Act, as well as advised on numerous other cross-border issues. He is currently serving as sole arbitrator in a proceeding under the rules of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre.

Fahad advises clients on compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other anti-corruption laws. Most recently, he has conducted internal investigations across the Middle East and South Asia and has advised on cross-border transactions for clients based in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. Fahad also counsels clients regarding economic sanctions regulations administered by the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), export control laws, and other related statutes. He also helps clients develop compliance programs and provide training in both of these areas.

Fahad's pro bono activities have included the submission of amicus curiae briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court in support of Guantanamo Bay detainees by former U.S. POWs (Al Odah and Rasul) and by a Yemeni human rights organization (Hamdan).
