Fran Lynch, a senior partner in Goodwin Procter's IP Litigation Group and member of its Patent Litigation Practice, has concentrated his practice on complex pharmaceutical patent litigations arising under the Hatch-Waxman framework for almost 20 years. These cases involve complex scientific, patent and Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act issues. He litigates in trial courts around the country and argues appeals in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He also acts as a hedge fund advisor, predicting the outcome of Hatch-Waxman cases.
Before focusing his practice on Hatch-Waxman cases, Mr. Lynch represented clients in complex intellectual property, product liability and general corporate litigations for many years. He has represented numerous companies, including Teva Pharmaceuticals Industries, LTD., Ford Motor Company, C.R. Bard, Inc., Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Inc., and Marriott Corporation. He has served as lead counsel in more than 50 trials, including both civil and criminal, and jury and non-jury.
