Gabriel H. Markoff

Gabriel Markoff is an associate in O’Melveny’s San Francisco office and a member of the Litigation Department. He represents corporate clients in litigation and other matters arising out of internal investigations and criminal proceedings. Gabriel also maintains an active pro bono practice focused on representing nonprofit groups that defend minority voting rights.

Prior to joining O’Melveny, Gabriel served as one of the first law clerks to the Honorable Gregg J. Costa, currently of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, while Judge Costa served on the bench of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Gabriel received his J.D. with high honors from the University of Texas School of Law, where he was a member of Chancellors, the law school’s highest honor society, and an Articles Editor on the Texas Law Review. While in law school, he assisted drafting U.S. Supreme Court briefs and mooting advocates during a year’s work in the law school’s Supreme Court Clinic, and in his third year was a brief writer and oral advocate for the law school’s 2012 finalist Duberstein National Bankruptcy Moot Court team.
