Gary D. Ticoll

Gary D. Ticoll is a shareholder in the Business Reorganization & Financial Restructuring Practice of the firm's New York office. He represents interested parties in bankruptcy proceedings and complex corporate debt restructurings, as well as advising special situation investment firms on virtually all aspects of their investments and acquisitions.

Mr. Ticoll is experienced in representing troubled corporate debtors, acquirers of distressed assets, creditors’ committees, individual creditors in both in-court and out-of-court reorganizations, asset sales, loan restructurings and commercial loan transactions. His experience includes all aspects of the bankruptcy process, including contested plan confirmation, cash collateral disputes, DIP loan negotiations, mass torts and fraudulent conveyance and preference litigation. Mr. Ticoll also advises officers, directors and other parties on fiduciary duties and zone of insolvency issues.

Mr. Ticoll has acted as counsel to companies involved in restructurings in the real estate, telecommunications, technology, health care, airline, automotive and financial services industries. The matters he has worked on include Extended Stay Hotels, General Motors, AbitibiBowater, Rubicon REIT, Global Crossing, Parmalat, Quigley, IWO Communications, Tower Automotive and Delphi.
