Gasper J. LaRosa

Gasper LaRosa has represented plaintiffs and defendants in intellectual property cases involving pharmaceutical products, medical devices, aesthetic laser technologies, chemical manufacturing processes, and business methods. He has litigated patent cases before several federal courts, including the district courts for Delaware, Texas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and New Jersey, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Gasper has participated in all aspects of patent litigation, including pre-suit investigation, trial, and appeal.

Gasper's practice focuses particularly on Hatch-Waxman and other pharmaceutical patent litigation on behalf of innovator pharmaceutical companies. His representations include litigations concerning Thalomid® (a treatment of multiple myeloma and erythema nodosum leprosum), Revlimid®, Skelaxin® (a muscle relaxant), Avinza® (an extended release morphine sulphate pain reliever), Univasc® and Uniretic® (ACE inhibitors), Lotronex® (a female irritable bowel syndrome treatment), OxyContin® (oxycodone hydrochloride extended release tablets), and Androgel® (testosterone replacement therapy).

In addition to litigation, Gasper's practice includes counseling clients regarding patent portfolio evaluation and analysis and the preparation of opinions concerning the patentability of inventions, validity of patents, and freedom-to-operate prospective technologies. His practice also includes the development of licensing strategies and the negotiation and preparation of agreements.

Gasper is a member of the American Bar Association, The Federal Circuit Bar Association, the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, and The American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
