Gavin Williams is a partner in Holland & Knight's Miami office and practices in the area of real estate finance and the acquisition and sale of real estate assets.
Mr. Williams has extensive experience in representing commercial banks, private banks, life insurance companies and international agencies in a variety of commercial lending and restructuring transactions, including construction and permanent financing for office buildings, shopping centers, industrial parks, multifamily and mixed-use developments, hotels and condominium projects. Mr. Williams also has substantial experience assisting lenders with the resolution of issues surrounding troubled assets, including workouts, loan sales and deeds-in-lieu.
He also represents clients in connection with the acquisition and disposition of improved and unimproved properties and is particularly skilled in the acquisition of medical office buildings, hotels and hotel condominiums. He has extensive experience in the drafting and negotiating of purchase agreements and reviewing due diligence materials, including title and survey, leases, contracts and management agreements.
Mr. Williams is also experienced in the drafting and negotiation of commercial leases.
He was the senior articles editor of the University of Miami Law Review.
