George Gigounas maintains a multi-faceted practice focused on business litigation and regulatory counseling.

His litigation practice emphasizes corporate governance, business competition, industrial and environmental operations, and toxics exposure. His regulatory practice encompasses a wide range of manufacturing and product compliance and liability issues at state and federal levels.

George's business litigation experience includes a broad range of commercial litigation and corporate investigations focused on manufacturing industries, oil, insurance, and banking firms, defense of government agency enforcement and civil litigation, class actions and shareholder derivative litigations. His environmental experience includes defense of claims under federal CERCLA and RCRA laws, related state laws, California's Proposition 65, and environmental and chemical manufacturing regulatory advice. George has significant additional experience in commercial litigation including insurance litigation.

In his regulatory counseling practice, George advises on compliance with product safety laws and regulations, particularly regarding California laws, including Proposition 65. He also represents clients in product recalls and withdrawals and has advised regarding a wide spectrum of softline and hardline products. He helps clients ascertain and monitor regulatory compliance, develop testing programs, implement required certifications and handle enforcement actions or litigation under federal and state products laws.
