George M. Flemma

George Flemma's practice focuses on domestic and multinational M&A transactions, particularly in the energy sector. He has extensive experience with joint ventures and strategic alliances in emerging markets.

Prior to joining Jones Day in 2014, George worked at General Electric Company as executive counsel — mergers & acquisitions at GE Oil & Gas, where he successfully led all M&A activity for that GE business, including representing GE in its acquisition of Wellstream Holdings plc, a publicly held British manufacturer of flexible pipeline systems, for $1.3 billion, and in its acquisition of Lufkin Industries, a publicly held manufacturer of artificial lift equipment and industrial gearing products, for $3.3 billion. He also served as senior counsel — global mergers & acquisitions at Citigroup Inc. prior to joining GE.
