George Gowen recently returned to Cozen O’Connor as a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Department after nearly five years as a senior leader in the legal department of Aramark, a Fortune 500 multinational food and facilities provider. George served as general counsel for Aramark’s Healthcare operating group, as well as for its Business & Industry group. He and his teams had wide-ranging responsibility for the legal issues faced by those operating groups, including transactions, compliance, and litigation. In particular, George oversaw the company’s legal relations with health care systems across the country and provided expertise in fraud and abuse compliance, HIPAA, FDA regulation, and hospital accreditation and compliance issues. George brings this experience together with his prior experience at the firm representing public and private companies in securities, corporate governance, mergers and acquisition, and real estate litigation, as well as conducting internal investigations for corporate clients. George will focus his practice on business litigation, health care law, investigations, and compliance initiatives for clients operating in a wide range of industry sectors.
