Gil Feder

Gil is the Chair of Reed Smith’s U.S. Real Estate Litigation Group.

While he litigates all types of commercial cases, Gil specializes in commercial real estate matters. Gil has extensive experience in representing a wide array of New York property owners and developers in complex commercial, partnership, and joint venture disputes. He has successfully handled significant real estate disputes for Sears, Fortress, BNY Mellon, Capmark Bank, GE, W.P. Carey, Lockheed Martin, UPS, and Norsk Hydro. He has litigated highly publicized real property, mortgage, environmental, zoning, condemnation and commercial lease disputes.

Gil has extensive trial and appellate experience and routinely litigates high-profile matters in both the New York State and the Federal Court systems. His client base includes some of Manhattan’s well known real estate developers including Donald Trump, as well as celebrities including Iron Chef Morimoto.

Gil’s appellate practice has included many appeals at the New York Court of Appeals and at the New York Appellate Divisions.
