Gregory A. Gorospe

Greg Gorospe represents developers, borrowers, other capital users, and lenders in the areas of real estate joint ventures, construction lending and other complex lending structures, leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, and corporate finance, including the issuance of publicly traded notes. He has significant experience in the development, financing, and lease out of retail centers and multifamily projects. Greg has been active on various U.S. infrastructure public-private partnerships. Most recently, he advised The Ohio State University in connection with the first ever monetization of a U.S. university's parking facilities.

Greg has advised a variety of clients such as Brush Engineered Materials, Charter One Bank, Continental Real Estate, Greystar Real Estate Partners, Meadowlands Development, Sprint Nextel, and Trammell Crow Residential. Representative transactions include the leasing of a 2.3 million square foot entertainment and retail complex; numerous joint ventures, loans, and dispositions for various apartment and condominium projects for Trammell Crow Residential and Greystar Real Estate Partners; and the issuance of billions of dollars of publicly traded debt for Sprint and Nextel.

Greg chairs the Diversity Task Force in Jones Day's Columbus Office. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and has spoken at its annual conventions. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association and sits on the boards of the Asian-Pacific American Bar Association-Columbus and Buckeye Leadership Fellows, a student leadership development program fostered by alumni of The Ohio State University to empower students to acquire real world life and leadership skills.
