Gregory K. Smith

Greg Smith

is a counsel with King & Spalding’s Business Litigation Practice Group. He practices in all areas of construction law, government procurement, and contract law. His practice consists primarily of dispute resolution and litigation, but also includes counseling in all areas of government procurement, and the drafting, structuring and review of construction contracts.

Mr. Smith graduated, magna cum laude, from Georgia State University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 1998. He graduated with a J.D., cum laude, from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 2001. While at Mercer, Mr. Smith served as the Editor in Chief of the Mercer Law Review. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, and the Atlanta Bar Association.

Mr. Smith has also written and edited several presentations and papers related to dispute resolution in the construction industry. He is a frequent speaker at seminars related to the construction industry.

Prior to practicing law, Mr. Smith served in the United States Navy.

Mr. Smith is admitted to practice in the State of Georgia, the Georgia Supreme Court, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
