Mr. McCue regularly advises importing clients on the uses and procedures for various types of Customs bonds, especially in connection with imports that may be subject to special requirements such as antidumping or countervailing duties. He works with these clients on the correct amount and cost of such bonds and on the necessary relationships with private surety companies and US Customs.
Mr. McCue has counseled clients on trade issues arising out of the US antidumping and countervailing duty statutes, as well as bilateral and multilateral relationships with various US trading partners to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade and the World Trade Organization. He has advised clients regarding the Constitutional, statutory, and regulatory issues arising from the HMT case, such as administrative procedure, the applicable jurisdiction of various federal courts, calculation and filing of refund claims, and the ramifications of successive decisions in the case by the Court of International Trade, the Federal Circuit, and the US Supreme Court.
