Harold D. Murry Jr

Hal Murry is head of the antitrust practice in the Washington office of Baker Botts. He has substantial experience in antitrust, commercial, and other complex civil litigation, as well as government criminal investigations. He has been involved in litigating and settling such disputes and providing counsel to major corporations on related issues for more than 25 years.

Mr. Murry has had extensive experience in advising and representing clients before the Federal Trade Commission, the United States Department of Justice, and other federal government regulatory departments and agencies. He has practiced extensively in federal and state courts throughout the country in civil proceedings and trials, as well as in federal administrative trials and in arbitrations. He has also counseled companies and individuals subject to criminal grand jury investigations, and is currently lead counsel in a number of pending investigations.

Mr. Murry has represented clients in private and government antitrust cases involving allegations of price fixing, monopolization, and government challenges to proposed mergers. These cases have involved consumer products such as cereals and soft drinks, industrial and specialty chemicals, glass containers, and food products. He has also been responsible for a number of related internal corporate investigations involving antitrust and fraud claims.
