Hector Llorens

is a partner in King & Spalding’s Atlanta office and is a member of the Finance Practice Group.

His practice focuses on debt financings, including syndicated credit facilities, secured and unsecured credit facilities, first lien and second lien financings, recapitalizations and acquisition financings, mezzanine financing, structured finance, project finance, securitizations and debtor-in-possession financing. His practice includes the representation of foreign and domestic lenders, as well as borrowers.

Recent transactions include acting as counsel to senior lenders and senior credit facility agents, as well as borrowers, in numerous secured acquisition financings, representation of lenders and letter of credit issuers in various structured installment sale transactions and monetizations, representation of issuers of high-yield secured debt securities, and representation of investors in structured insurance settlements and monetizations and collateralized loan obligations. Recently, Mr. Llorens represented ING Capital LLC, as Administrative Agent and Lead Arranger in connection with an aggregate $600 million senior domestic and multicurrency credit facilities for a major domestic and international supplier to a worldwide restaurant company secured by assets in the U.S, the United Kingdom, France, The Netherlands and Australia, and is currently representing the Lead Arranger in connection with a $145 million project financing for the construction and operation of a 100-ton per year cane sugar refinery.

Chambers USA has consistently selected Mr. Llorens as a leading lawyer in his practice area, and he also has been consistently named in editions of The Best Lawyers in America, based on surveys of leading U.S. attorneys.

Mr. Llorens received his J.D. in 1986 from Columbia University where he served as Associate Editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems. From 1986-1987, he served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert S. Vance, U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit.
