Heidi Goldstein Shepherd was named Chief Human Resources Officer for the firm in August 2011. She was formerly a partner in the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice. Ms. Shepherd is responsible for overseeing all professional development, leadership, recruiting, training and human resources functions. She plays an integral role in managing the firm’s communications activities within and across all Goodwin communities, as well as the continued expansion of the firm’s Women’s, Diversity and GLBT Initiatives.
Ms. Shepherd joined Goodwin Procter as a lateral associate in 1999. Previously, she had worked as an associate at Ropes & Gray, following a clerkship at the U.S. District Court in Vermont. She was named to the partnership in 2006.
Ms. Shepherd has extensive experience representing management and institutional clients in all aspects of the employment relationship and counseled clients on a wide range of employment-related issues that arise in day-to-day business activities. Ms. Shepherd earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Boston College Law School and her B.A., cum laude, from Georgetown University.
