Henry Wang

Henry (Haojin) Wang is a patent counsel in the Los Angeles office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Mr. Wang’s experience includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications, including patent reissue; litigation support and opinions regarding infringement analysis, patent validity and freedom to operate. Mr. Wang has extensive experience in prosecuting U.S. and foreign patents relating to wireless technologies (CDMA, GSM/GPRS, WCDMA, LTE, WiFi, near-field communications), fiber-optics, integrated circuit design and fabrication, Internet, and medical devices, among others, with particular focus on wireless standards such as 3G, 4G and next-generation wireless standards.

Mr. Wang also has a wide range of experiences in counseling clients on IP related issues; preparing patent license agreements, especially licenses involving standards-based patent portfolio; and managing in-house patent programs and multinational patent portfolios in both fast-paced startups and established Fortune 500 companies, with an established record of building a strong patent portfolio from scratch.

Previously, Mr. Wang was an in-house patent counsel or a patent program manager at Broadcom, Renesas Mobile Corporation, Nokia and Tekelec and a patent agent at two patent boutique firms.

Prior to his career in the field of intellectual property, Mr. Wang worked at IBM, Nortel, Samsung, Tekelec and Santera in various engineering positions including software engineer, system architect and software project manager.
Mr. Wang is also an avid swimmer with a passion for travel and adventures.
