Hoon Choi's practice encompasses all aspects of IP law including patent prosecution, patent interference, opinion work, IP due diligence, patent litigation, and providing advice regarding regulatory aspects of patent law. He has particular experience in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnology sectors.

Hoon's experience includes advising clients with regard to patent strategy in connection with approved drugs and drugs that are in various pre-approval stages, rendering patentability, freedom-to-operate and infringement opinions, advising clients on patent life cycle management, conducting IP due diligence on behalf of both the buyer and the target, advising clients on patent interferences, and rendering support in connection with a range of patent infringement litigation matters including Paragraph IV actions.

Hoon regularly advises clients on the procurement, management, and enforcement of their patents in other countries. He has significant experience in advising clients on various proceedings in foreign countries including patent prosecution and life cycle management, oppositions, invalidation proceedings, patent term extensions, and patent enforcement.

Hoon has advised clients on the many aspects of IP law for products such as Allegra®, Clarinex®, Ethyol®, Focalin®, Focalin XR®, Pristiq®, Revlimid®, Ritalin LA®, Thalomid®, and others as well as many product candidates currently in clinical trials.
