Hugh J. O'Halloran is a partner and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he concentrates in the areas of corporate real estate finance, sales and acquisitions; establishment and servicing of real estate investment entities; and zoning and municipal real estate development law matters. He is the former chair in the Milwaukee office Real Estate Practice and is a member of the firm’s Hospitality, Resort & Golf, Sports, and Health Care Industry Teams.
A significant portion of his time is spent working on golf course developments, including drafting and negotiating design, construction, and operating agreements associated with those projects. His golf course development work also includes financing of golf courses and their associated residential and mixed-use projects.
Mr. O’Halloran also devotes significant portions of his practice to acquisition, development, financing and disposition of senior housing projects, medical office buildings, and industrial facilities. In structuring these transactions, he draws upon his extensive experience working on sale/leaseback structures, municipal finance and tax incentive programs, and third-party equity infusions.
