Trevor focuses his practice on financial restructuring and insolvency matters, including bankruptcy, creditors' rights, and commercial workouts. In this area, he negotiates loan modifications, forbearance arrangements and other loan workout solutions. Trevor regularly works as lead counsel on large loan workout transactions, and appears in state and federal courts, including bankruptcy court, on behalf of national banks and other creditors. Prior to joining the restructuring and insolvency practice group, he practiced labor and employment law and commercial litigation. In these areas, Trevor represented clients in state and federal courts, arbitrations and government investigations.
Trevor served as a law clerk to the Honorable Henry Coke Morgan, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in Norfolk, Virginia. While attending the University of Virginia School of Law, Trevor was the articles review editor of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy & the Law, and a volunteer with the Community Mediation Center. As an undergraduate at Virginia Tech, he was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma.
Since 2008, Trevor has served on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte, where he also volunteers and provides pro bono legal representation in the areas of bankruptcy, foreclosure, employment, general contract and other areas. He is also active in his church, where he leads a 13-week personal finance class and provides one-on-one financial counseling.
