is counsel on King & Spalding’s Business Litigation Practice Group. He has over a decade of experience defending corporations against individual and class action lawsuits brought under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”) and similar consumer protection laws. Mr. Love has personally handled in excess of 400 FCRA lawsuits.
In addition to his FCRA and FDCPA background, Mr. Love has experience defending loan servicing companies in lawsuits brought under various state and federal statutes. Prior to joining King & Spalding, Mr. Love was Senior Counsel, Litigation for Ocwen Loan Servicing, a national loan serving company. During his tenure at Ocwen, Mr. Love assisted with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to effectively manage high volume litigation.
Mr. Love has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is admitted to practice in Georgia and Florida.
Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Defense
Mr. Love has represented Equifax Information Services LLC, a national consumer reporting agency, in over 400 individual FCRA lawsuits as well as a number of class actions in state and federal courts throughout the United States. He also has experience representing debt collectors in FDCPA litigation.
Loan Servicing Litigation
Through his role as Senior in-house counsel with Ocwen, Mr. Love has experience handling the defense of loan servicing companies in cases brought under the Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act and various other state and federal statutes.
Other Representative Litigation
Mr. Love also has experience in insurance defense, including personal injury, premises liability and products liability cases. He personally handled in excess of 200 such liability cases.
Experience, Education and Community Service
Mr. Love is a 1993 graduate of Georgia State University College of Law where he was a member of the Georgia State Law Review and received an American Jurisprudence Award in Research, Writing & Advocacy.
Mr. Love graduated from the University of Georgia in 1990 with a B.A. in Political Science.
Mr. Love has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is admitted to the bar in Georgia and Florida. In addition to his general bar admissions in Georgia and Florida, Mr. Love is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, United States District Courts of the Northern District of Georgia, Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois, Western District of Michigan and the United States Courts of Appeals for the First, Third, Fourth, Sixth, Seventh, Ninth and Eleventh Circuits.
Mr. Love has participated in community events involving the American Cancer Society and Habitat for Humanity.
