J. Jason Williams

Jason Williams practices patent, trademark, and trade secret law, with a primary focus on litigation. His experience includes patent litigation on a wide range of technologies, including wireless and satellite telecommunications, industrial and commercial products, software, security systems, and business methods in Federal District Courts and the International Trade Commission (ITC). He also has extensive experience in trademark, false advertising, and unfair competition litigation in Federal District Courts, as well as self-regulatory proceedings before the National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus (NAD).

Jason's experience covers all stages of patent and trademark litigation, including pleading, discovery, motion practice, Markman, settlement negotiation, trial preparation, and trial. His experience also includes noninfringement analyses, re-examinations of patents, and counseling clients regarding patent, trademark, and copyright protection and enforcement.

Jason is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property, and the Atlanta Bar Association. He is a member of the Litigation Committee of the IP Section of the Atlanta Bar Association.

Prior to attending law school, Jason spent three years conducting biomedical research at the University of Louisville's Department of Medicine in the nephrology and cardiology divisions.
