Jacqueline Acosta is an associate and litigation lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. Ms. Acosta’s practice includes litigation matters with a focus on representing clients in investigations and enforcement actions by the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulatory bodies. She is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Latin America and Government Enforcement, Compliance & White Collar Defense Practices.

In the area of Government Enforcement, Compliance & White Collar Defense, Ms. Acosta has represented clients subject to Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations, particularly government investigations directed to business dealings in Latin America. Ms. Acosta has participated in internal investigations and defended and counseled clients in connection with government investigations. She also has experience in securities litigation, defending officers in SEC enforcement matters. A member of the firm’s Health Care Litigation group, Ms. Acosta has represented individuals and entities in white collar criminal matters and SEC enforcement matters dealing with the health care industry, including managed care.

Additionally, in the area of Bankruptcy & Business Reorganizations, Ms. Acosta has represented officers of public companies in bankruptcy in parallel civil litigation brought by bankruptcy trustees involving fraudulent transfer and preference allegations.
