Jim is co-chair of the firm’s distressed real estate practice group and focuses his practice on insolvency law and financial restructuring, including bankruptcy and out-of-court workouts. He is experienced in representing secured lenders, corporate debtors, official committees of unsecured creditors, liquidating trustees, and other stakeholders, in bankruptcy courts and other courts throughout the United States.

Jim is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor. Prior to joining McGuireWoods, he was a senior consultant in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Services Practice of FTI Consulting, Inc., and a senior associate in the Business Recovery Services Division of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
