Jim is a member of the Financial Industry Group, practicing in the area of Financial Services Litigation. Jim focuses his practice on life insurance and financial transaction litigation and class action defense. He has handled court and jury trials involving life insurance, real property and reverse mortgages, as well as agency termination, construction claims, commercial disputes, insurance bad faith, premium tax, experimental medical techniques and managed care disputes. His clientele includes life and health insurance companies, lenders, brokers, trade associations and public entities. He also has an active appellate practice, handling writs and appeals concerning unfair competition, agency termination, free speech, election law and freedom of information, and arbitration.
