Since joining the firm in 2005, Jim's practice has focused on financial services litigation and complex commercial disputes, including defense of shareholder derivative lawsuits and class actions in the banking, consumer finance, investment management, and securities industries.
Jim has defended or currently is defending clients against claims alleging violations of the Investment Company Act of 1940, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Electronic Funds Transfer Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Extension Uniformity Act, Drivers Privacy Protection Act and Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, as well various common law violations, including claims for breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract and unfair trade practices.
