James Mizgala has over 20 years of experience defending clients in cases involving pharmaceutical products liability, consumer fraud, toxic torts, and mass torts on national and local trial teams. He has tried cases to verdict in Cook County, Illinois and the District of Nebraska and served on trial teams in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and West Virginia. With graduate-level training as a neurobiologist and more than five years of experience working in research labs, James’s training as a scientist informs and enhances his ability to identify, interview, retain, depose, and present experts for trial and during class certification proceedings. James is also highly experienced in drafting and successfully arguing Daubert/Frye motions.

James (a transplanted upstate New Yorker) and his wife (a native Chicagoan) have three children – one attending Indiana University, one attending the University of Illinois, and one attending St. Ignatius College Prep – and dream of being empty-nesters.
