Jami Wintz McKeon

Jami Wintz McKeon is Chair-elect of the Firm and a partner in Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice.

Ms. McKeon's practice focuses on complex litigation, including class and mass actions, and civil and regulatory proceedings. She has more than 25 years of experience handling high-stakes, crisis litigation and investigations related to business disputes, fraud litigation, class action cases, and matters arising from or related to business combinations, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures. Ms. McKeon has substantial experience handling cases and counseling clients on litigation issues in the financial services and technology industries. Ms. McKeon has led teams in bank-related investigations and litigation, including those related to mortgage, credit card, and trust issues. She currently leads the Morgan Lewis team representing one of the world's largest banks in mortgage and credit card-related regulatory and litigation matters.

Ms. McKeon has held many leadership positions at the firm and most recently served as leader of the Litigation Practice. Under Ms. McKeon's leadership Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice has expanded internationally in London and Moscow and has become a destination point for key government officials who have joined the practice from the Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Attorney General's office. During her tenure, the Litigation Practice has also received a number of accolades. BTI Consulting Group named Morgan Lewis a 'Powerhouse - Best of the Best' for Complex Commercial Litigation in their Litigation Outlook 2013, and in 2012 the practice was named one of The Legal Intelligencer's 'Pennsylvania Litigation Departments of the Year'.

Ms. McKeon served three terms on the firm's Advisory Board and has served two terms on the firm's Compensation Committee. She has been recognized by The American Lawyer in the category of Best Lawyers - Commercial Litigation, has been honored by The Daily Journal as one of the 'Top 75 Women Litigators' and as one of the 'Top 100 Lawyers in California,' and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America. She was also honored by the Philadelphia Business Journal as one of the “2013 Women of Distinction.” Ms. McKeon has taught in numerous trial advocacy programs for beginning and experienced lawyers.

Ms. McKeon was a leader in the development of alternative fee arrangements and helped pioneer several programs for clients focused on alternative fees. These programs have allowed Morgan Lewis to become one of a small group of firms that can manage large litigation dockets for clients under alternative fee arrangements and achieve excellent outcomes in the most complex and challenging litigation matters.

She has presented at the Association of Corporate Counsel on the subject, and has been prominently quoted by the Wall Street Journal and other well-read publications on the subject of alternative fee arrangements.

Ms. McKeon began her career at Morgan Lewis in Philadelphia in 1981. She helped to spearhead the expansion of the firm's practice on the West Coast and has played a key role in attracting and successfully integrating lateral groups and individual laterals that have helped to deepen the firm's capabilities across geographies.

Ms. McKeon is also a member of the Kimmel Center Board of Directors.

Ms. McKeon is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and numerous federal district courts and courts of appeal. She is a member of the bars in Pennsylvania, California, and New York.
